The ‘Mbôva’ digital platform is a major citizen participation initiative in Gabon. Derived from the Apinzi word ‘Mbôvas’, which means ‘to dialogue’, this platform symbolises a forum where all Gabonese, including those living abroad or with reduced mobility, can actively contribute to institutional reform by sharing their ideas.

Launched by the Government of Transition, ‘Mbôva’ is designed to gather contributions that will form the basis of discussions during the National Dialogue scheduled from April to June 2024. This project is crucial to ensuring inclusive participation, giving a voice to all citizens.

As a strategic dashboard for participatory democracy, ‘Mbôva’ facilitates citizens’ opinions collection and analysis, ensuring that all perspectives are taken into account in reforms. It plays a key role in the National Dialogue transparency, inclusiveness and legitimacy, promoting more open and engaged governance.
