Hackers Ethics / Slacker

An ethical hacker or pentester is responsible for conducting penetration tests (pentests) on an organisation’s computer systems and networks to identify security flaws and vulnerabilities. He uses specialised methods and tools to simulate real-world attacks and identify vulnerabilities that could be exploited by cybercriminals. The aim is to provide recommendations and solutions to strengthen the security of IT infrastructures, protect sensitive data and prevent security incidents.

 

Required skills :

  • In-depth knowledge of IT security technologies, network protocols, operating systems and common programming languages;
  • Proficiency in pentest tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, etc;
  • Ability to analyse and interpret penetration tests results, and write detailed reports;
  • Professional ethics, compliance with laws and ethical standards in IT security;
  • Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, and manage priorities independently.

 

Recommended training :

  • University degree in computing science, information systems security or a related field;
  • IT security certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), etc;
  • Practical training in intrusion techniques, pentesting tools and IT security best practice;
  • Participate in ongoing training and conferences to keep abreast of technological developments and new cyber security threats.
